2020 Florida RV SuperShow

The Florida RV SuperShow is coming up soon and Lorraine and I are looking forward to being there again this year.

A few facts and figures about the show as well as the Hershey RV Show, now rebranded as America’s Largest RV Show.

This year will be the 35th anniversary of the Florida RV SuperShow and it will attract more than 70,000 attendees. By comparison, the 2019 Hershey RV Show brought in just over 55,000 attendees.

The Florida event will include 2 million square feet of exhibit space with over 1,500 brand new RVs. The Hershey event was a little over 1 million square feet of exhibit space and had about the same number of new RVs on display.

Lorraine and I have attended both shows and, regardless of which one might draw the largest crowds, we like to get into these shows early in the day and early in the week. The weekend crowds make it challenging to walk through the coaches and to browse the exhibitor booths.

We were late getting our coach on the list for the Newmar rally at the Florida show so we will miss out on the opportunity to camp onsite. We’ll take our car in for the day and we will try to cover as much ground as we can. The Florida RV SuperShow is held in Tampa at the Florida State Fairgrounds, roughly a 90-minute drive from where we stay at Myakka River Motorcoach Resort.

Always interesting to chat with the manufacturers about their products.

And you never know who you might see at the show.
