There Is Money In The RV Business

You can make some serious money in the RV business. I posted last week about the grand opening of a Lazydays RV dedicated service center. The first of its kind for Lazydays. In the post, I speculated that even though it represents a test concept for the company, it should be profitable.

I suspect I underestimated just how much profit can be made in the RV business.

This house is up for sale in Tampa, Florida. Reduced from 22 million. A bargain for only 17.5 million.

If you are interested in taking a look around the place, here is a video of the property.

Let’s take in a few more details about the house.

The house does not have a street address. It has a name: the Oaks estate.

With 36,361 air conditioned square feet, you should have a bit of room to move around while inside the building. The walls are 20-inches thick and they have been clad in blonde Texas limestone. The driveway features 256,000 recycled red bricks. The main house is four stories and, of course, you would want to use the included elevator to move between the floors. The master bedroom provides not just one, but two stories of closet space. The wallpaper in the dining room is hand-painted silk. Game room. Two-lane bowling alley. One-mile paved jogging path. Croquet lawn. Go-cart track. 1,000 exterior lights. Indoor and outdoor salt-water pools. Pool house. Gym, dry sauna, steam room and massage room. Stables with 7.4 acres of fenced pasture. Boat house and two-story dock with 6,000-pound boat lift and two lifts for personal watercraft.

There are also a few people that come with the place. Two housekeepers, five maintenance workers, five landscapers.

2019 property taxes: $149,607

The owner is one of the founders of LazyDays RV. The last annual report from 2018 shows revenues of 614 million with net income after tax of over 8 million.

With a little bit of spare change from the business, you can build a nice estate. All from selling and servicing RVs.
