Tiny Living
Small space. Minimalist lives. We sold a 7,000 square foot house for a 450 square foot diesel coach. Although I sometimes complain about the lack of storage space in our Dutch Star, we really do have all the room we need in our travels: two washrooms, king size bed, fully equipped galley with a residential fridge, dishwasher, induction cooktop and convection microwave, along with beautiful cabinetry and furnishings. You can check out the details on our coach over here.
But is it really that small a space?
I think most would agree that we are tiny living. I thought so as well. Until I came across a video from Advanced RV. I had never heard of the company before but I must admit that I watched the entire video. I was really surprised by the overall approach and focus on building a high quality custom van.
The video details all of the steps that Advanced RV follows when doing a custom build. In this case, the client was a couple that had sold their house to live and travel full-time in a van.
With a mere 80 or so square feet of living space.
There is an entire subculture about van life. Here is but one example.
Compared to a van, we have a mansion on wheels.
